We are lucky to live in a place rich in crops

Sicily is an extremely generous land, rich in fertile soils, water and sun. Our soils differ depending on climate and their geological structures. Such environmental conditions and variety result in richness of agricultural products. Thinks to influences of other nations’ cuisine, Sicily’s culinary heritage has no equals. Plains, hills, mountains and the Sicilian sea, in combination with seasons typical for the Mediterranean climate, offer fruits and vegetables (also olive oil, wine, cheese and meat) throughout the whole year. Our traditional food industry manufactures such natural resources into sweet and salty products, cured meats, fish products in salt and oil, sweets, pasta and many, many more. Biodiversity and its richness is our great wealth, we respect it deeply, and we want to share it with you today.
