Pink grapefruit is a spontaneous mutation of yellow grapefruit, which was discovered in Texas in the 1930-s, and the Star Rugby variety that comes from the 1970s. The fruit is very big – its weight may even exceed half a kilo. The flesh is intensely pink, it is juicy, slightly bitter in taste. It has multiple nutritious characteristics, it aids the cleansing of the body. The picking season lasts from December until March - depending on the weather.
